I bought this in the summer and have used it to hold a Yakima 5 bike carrier on my 2011 Subaru Forester. It has worked great. Took my mechanic friend about 2 hours to install it. He said it was a little rough, but not too bad. He said I could have probably installed it by myself, but would have took a little longer. But all in all, with buying this and paying him $100 to install it, it was still cheaper than buying through the dealership. I would highly recommend the hitch. Very sturdy and well made.

Great product, not very difficult to install if you have a helping hand. My only regret is that I did not do more research before settling on this hitch. This hitch requires that you use a stabilizing strap when you carry "non-trailered loads" like a bike rack. The class-2 hitch from Curt does not have the same requirement. Given that the class-2 hitch still far exceeds the towing capacity for my car, and I mostly plan on carrying bikes...I should've gotten the class-2 hitch.
